What kinds of work outs should I be doing to lose weight?
I’ve tried lifting weights and cardio. Does anyone have suggestions for a weight loss exercise program?

Well from exsperience i have found that you have to eat right and combine it with working out 3-4 times per week. You definatly want to gain a little muscle in the process and lose more fat of course, because muscle thrives on Fat for energy, so by building more muscle your body will burn approx 300 more calories per day than a less muscular body. Also eat many small meals this will increase your metabolism and help you loose more weight.
Ive found that eating High protien, low calorie diet will cause your body to use the fat as energy. but dont cut out the carbs because you wont have any energy to work out, you can lower them on days you dont work out but you definatly need them on workout days.
For a workout, You need to do a combination of Arms – 1 day, legs – another and core another. with about 20 min of cardio after you work out at least 2x a week. But dont work out for more than 1 hr & 30 min as you will be exausted and not want to go back to the gym. Make sure you get enough protien – around 100 grams a day so your body can build on your muscle and you can burn more fat.

Im currently drinking a protien drink in the morning for breakfast, then 2 hrs later i eat a snack, then lunch, then 2 hrs later another snack – like fruit or something light, Then you eat dinner. By eating 5xs a day it speeds up my metabolism. And i work out at 3-4 xs a week and lost about 8lbs but my body looks so much better because i have more muscle and dont look so flabby.
Hope this helps.

There is no "best" exercise for weight loss. You need cardio and weight lifting. For weight lifting, you want to do alot of reps (15-20) at a low weight. For cardio, you want to do something called High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT). This is when you sprint for a minute, then walk for a minute. Do several "reps" of this. The reason you want to do these kinds of exercises is that they will make your metabolism speed up and you will be burning more calories throughout the day (and next day). Constant cardio at the same speed for 20 minutes may burn calories, but your body can easily recover. Weight lifting and HIIT make it harder for your body to recover, making it burn more calories while you’re not exercising.

It’s all about decreasing your input(calories) and increasing your output(exercise).
Always compare the calories of your food and choose the lower calorie meal. cut out sodas and high fat foods.
Walking or running are the best ways to burn calories. As are biking and swimming.
http://trackmypace.com/ can help with all that, it measures your BMI and calories burned per mile.
Good luck!

I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.

Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.

First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…

This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.

However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Any form of cardio preformed at a higher intensity will drop your body fat fast and effectively. Given the nature of such a rigorous exercise, the exercise itself is broken up into intervals, giving it the name "high intensity interval training." Interval training routines are usually taught in the more recent and proven fitness programs.

The benefits behind a higher intensity workout make such a routine much more powerful than a traditional low intensity workout. It is known to boost metabolism and increase the maximum amount of oxygen your body can take in during a workout. Both these elements will greatly aid fat loss.

It is important not to neglect your diet though, as it is a major component in the weight loss process. If you have enough dedication, it is best to eat smaller meals more frequently throughout the day. This will land you at five or six small meals a day. The key in diet is lean protein. Almost every meal should contain some source of lean protein. Due to the fact that protein requires much more energy to digest than carbohydrates, this will significantly increase your metabolism. In addition, make sure to cut out any soft drinks in your diet and replace it with water. Drinking a lot of water is also a great way to assist you in your weight loss goals.

If you stick to a legitimate fitness routine then you will without a doubt drop the weight. Just remember that this will take a lot of dedication, but you will eventually reach your goal. I suggest looking at a few of the proven fitness routines recommended at http://www.realfitnessmatters.com

The quick weight loss methods ussually do not provide lasting results, so you should be warry about that.|Do not starve your self(it never works, although that’s the first thought that crosses anyone’s mind when thinking to lose weight)|Start your day right. Mothers always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Have a healthy meal in the morning to jump-start your metabolism.}Decide on how much weight you want to lose. Keep your goals realistic.Have a mindset that you want to eat healthy to stay healthy for the rest of your life.Go slow. If you have already lost 5 or 6 pounds, give yourself a break then try to lose the next 5 pounds.

Here’s some other quick tips for you:

* Make a delicious low fat mayonnaise by combining one teaspoon of Dijon mustard or satay sauce with a low fat yogurt.

* Add alfalfa or mung beans to salad to get extra iron.

* Use chicken stock when stir-frying. This will cut down on hidden fat.

* One of the best sources of vegetable protein is from soya beans or tofu. All legumes provide some protein, so include lentils, lima beans etc into casseroles and soups.

* Substitute baking soda, baking powder, MSG and soya sauce in cooking.

If you have started losing weight, just remember it’s a question of will. Keep doing what your’re doing, stay away from junk food and sodas, and you will feel more healthier and alive than never before.

Although you said you’ve already done cardio, have you done this type? I had been trying to lose weight forever and all the websites I went to said the same thing (diet, exercise, and just stay active) and really I didn’t know what types of exercises to do to quickly shed fat while building muscle to tone later.

ANYWAY, long story short I learned about this type of exercise that basketball players do – called wind sprints. Basically my personal trainer told me that this was the reason why they have practically no body fat.

So to do it, it’s a really simple concept and you can do it anywhere you’d like: in your backyard, home, gym, etc. You can start by getting 5 objects (like cones, water bottles, any household object) and place them 10 meters apart. You probably get it by now, after you’ve set them all apart run to the first one, turn around to the starting point and run back to the second one, turn around and run to the starting point, and run to the third one, etc. You get it now. Basically if you want an incredible cardio workout do this and run as fast as you possibly can while doing this – DO NOT JOG it defeats the whole purpose. It sounds simple, but if you’re out of shape it will take some time. This will drastically help you in the weight loss process, at least it did for me, and I am so glad I found this exercise. It’s suitable anywhere, it gets easier the more you practice the running, and it sheds fat and builds muscle.

You’ll be feeling great after awhile, best of luck with great results!
